Department of Economics at Istanbul Kültür University was established with the aim of training the economists needed in our country’s economic growth and development process.

Since growth and development encompass macroeconomic balances such as export-import, employment, unemployment, financial markets and stock exchanges, investment, production and consumption, income and expenditure, economics is a very important branch of science.

In this regard, the Department of Economics has prepared an undergraduate program that is up-to-date and aligned with the requirements of the age, aiming to train senior executives for both the private and public sectors.

Our department offers students a unique program both in theory and in practice. The Economics curriculum is constantly updated in line with socio-economic developments. Our students are encouraged to follow current social and economic events and thus graduate with the ability to apply the knowledge they have acquired theoretically.

Our successful students in the Department of Economics can obtain a second diploma by participating in the Double Major Program (DMP) in any department.

In addition, they can study abroad within the scope of the Erasmus student exchange program. The duration of education in the Department of Economics is 4 years, and the courses are offered over 8 semesters.
