Dear students,
Economy is a social science that examines people's economic behaviors.
Economic behaviors include our behaviors related to subjects such as production, consumption, and distribution. Although the language used by the science of economics may seem complex, it is entirely related to our daily lives. The main factor that differentiates economics within the social sciences is the analytical methods it uses to analyze social behaviors. Economics examines our decisions related to economic quantities, which can be considered within the scope of social behavior, through various tools. While the economist conducts analysis regarding the economic events he/she examines, he/she also makes policy recommendations to the country’s administrators.
Considering all of this, what is expected from a good economist is strong analytical ability and a tendency toward social relations.
The Department of Economics at Istanbul Kültür University opens the doors for you to become a “good economist.”
In doing so, it benefits from a strong academic staff. Both our full-time faculty members and the leading names of the economic world directly contribute to a flexible course program suitable for the requirements of the age, which awaits you.
Our students who study Economics at Kültür, in addition to the advantages of being in an urban university, gain access to broad internship opportunities, the possibility of continuing part of their education (6 months or 1 year) in a different European country through international exchange programs, a “student-oriented” education approach with an open-door management style, continuous academic advising services, the opportunity to reinforce their areas of interest through student clubs, and the chance to pursue double major and minor programs with many departments.
