The Department of Economics held a seminar on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Basın Ekspres Campus Conference Hall. Tahsin Aygün, CEO of Marbling Financial Group, who attended the event as a speaker, made a presentation on the historical outlook and future projections of global inflation. The megatrends that may arise in the future in the financial markets were also discussed with the active participation of the participants.

A webinar titled "Art, Finance and Technology: NFT Art" was organized by the Department of Economics on Friday, May 21, 2021. Art Finance Technologies Writer Tuğçe Kaprol Üler was the speaker at the event, where transformation in the art economy, digital art and NFT applications were discussed.

The Department of Economics organized a webinar titled “Epidemic and Difficult Times: Women and Informal Workers” on Friday, May 21, 2021. In the event, where Assoc. Prof. Hasan Bakır from Uludağ University was the speaker, the structural issues of the labour market in Turkey were discussed in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Res. Assist. Derya Zayim, one of the academic staff of the Department of Economics, was the moderator of the event.
